Adam Anderson, CFP®, CRPC®

Adam Anderson got his start in financial planning right out of college and has never looked back. His career began with Ameriprise Financial, where he focused on alternative investments with his clients while he began building a portfolio of estate investments. Being a Certified Financial Planner allowed him to approach real estate in a unique way that put investors first.

 

Today, as the founder of MRA Capital Partners, Adam is carrying on that practice, bringing his 20 years of experience and 30+ real estate transactions to his roles as managing partner, CEO, and chairman of their investment committee. He launched the company in 2017 as a boutique real estate investment firm, with offices in Tampa, Florida, and Parsippany, New Jersey. In under four years, they’ve amassed just under 600 multifamily units in Ohio, North Carolina, Virginia, New Jersey, and Florida, with 88 units in Florida alone, a total of $85 million in real estate assets, delivering realized annualized returns more than 30% to their limited partner investors. MRA Capital specializes in acquiring and renovating distressed multifamily properties in the American Southeast with a number of asset-backed investment options, like the Lighthouse Fund, a diversified fund that serves investors looking for regular income, in addition to other opportunistic, growth-oriented strategies.

 

As he leads this thriving firm, Adam also serves as the co-founder of MRA Advisory Group, a full-service, fee-only wealth management and financial planning advisory firm established in 2009. “Our roots really started in financial planning, but we always specialized in alternative investments, so the stability of investments is not affected by market volatility,” Adam explains. “We merged my passion for investing with real estate with the demand for low-cost alternative investments.”

 

And as if all this weren’t enough, Adam was also recently elected to the Florida House of Representatives, representing the people of North Pinellas County. But his passion still lies in his work. “I love the challenge of putting complex deals together to create something very valuable for our investors,” he says.

 

Adam holds a BS in real estate from FSU, and is a Certified Financial Planner® and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor®.
