Greg Slamowitz
Greg Slamowitz is an entrepreneur, investor, professor, board member, author, and speaker. Greg is the founding and managing member of the Montana-based family office G. Slamowitz & Company LLC. He’s also founder and CEO of DesignedBuilt LLC. Based in Big Sky, Montana, and Lubiszynek Drugi, Poland, this venture is an innovative designer and off-site fabricator of energy efficient homes and custom wood doors and windows. In addition to helming these ventures, Greg serves as the lead independent board member of the professional employer organization (PEO) TandemHR and as an independent board member for the retirement plan designer and administrator StrongPoint Partners. Both businesses are backed by Shore Capital Partners based out of Chicago, Illinois. With extensive business experience, the lion’s share of Greg’s focus is spent on strategy and tactical alignment, where he remains steadfast in his focus on the success of each organization he’s involved with. “Working on a team and solving problems is what I enjoy most,” he states.
Prior to his latest ventures, Greg practiced tax law with Brown & Wood (now Sidley Austin) in New York City. He also co-founded the professional employer organization Ambrose Employer Group, LLC, in 1997, with just $95,000. Never accepting any outside funding, the company later sold to TriNet and General Atlantic in July of 1993 in a cash transaction. While co-CEO of Ambrose, Greg was the recipient of Ernst & Young’s New York Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the employment services category. Ambrose was also named one of the Best Companies to Work for in New York by the New York State Society for Human Resource Management, and was ranked among Crain’s 50 Fastest Growing Companies in New York during Greg’s tenure as co-CEO. He has since penned the book, Flip the Pyramid: How Any Organization Can Create a Workforce That Is Engaged, Empowered, Aligned and On Fire! He’s also served as an adjunct professor at Montana State University teaching entrepreneurship and strategy at the business school.
Greg holds a bachelor’s degree from New York University, an LLM in taxation from New York University School of Law, and a juris doctorate with distinction from Emory University School of Law, where he served on the Dean’s Advisory Board for many years.
