Laura Socha
Giving others a chance to shine has always been the focal point of Laura Socha’s career. An industry expert with over 27 years of financial service experience, she’s a leader who champions the success of others. Laura is a senior leader in financial services consulting, where she is recognized for her superior skills in client development and delivery of complex strategic initiatives to clients across North America. With a special emphasis on digital delivery, M&A, and customer conversions, she provides thought capital and expertise in banking and payments. Focused on lifting up others, Laura serves as an enabler for the next generation of emerging talent. “Building on people’s core competencies in another domain and cross-pollinating skills across industries is something I’ve always particularly enjoyed,” she shares.
The first in her family to graduate university, Laura got her start in finance and accounting before getting into digital delivery at CIBC in the 1990s. Thereafter, she joined a “Big Five” consulting company before going back into industry and managing the Citi Brand Card Portfolio in Canada. Named to the list of Top 50 Women Leaders of Vancouver by Women We Admire, Laura takes pride in relationship building and having a positive impact on those around her, which has been a central component to not only her own success, but that of others. She also has a passion for health care and philanthropy, and works to support the SickKids Foundation, an organization committed to the health and well-being of children.
Laura holds a bachelor’s in business administration from York University.
