Michael Carella
Michael Carella is an entrepreneur who knows what it takes to build a successful business from the ground up. At just 25 years old, he started Evident Title Agency, Inc., as a one-man show. Now, it’s one of the largest title insurance and settlement agencies in New Jersey. In an industry that Michael sees as ripe with “fly by night agencies,” “affiliated business arrangements,” and “pay-to-play scenarios,” Evident Title Agency rises above the rest with a philosophy anchored by honesty and integrity. “We’ve worked tirelessly over the years to perfect the system and process in order to provide clients with the most streamlined, stress-free closing experience possible,” he states. “We’re constantly evolving and improving.”
With five offices located across the state, the full-service firm has insured over $9 billion in residential and commercial real estate transactions to date. Offering everything from closing disclosure preparation to document witnessing, funds disbursement and recording services, Evident Title prides itself on providing the highest level of customer service. “Our motto is ‘searching the past to ensure your future,’ and the idea is that when you’re buying a house, we search the past history to make sure your future is secure,” Michael explains. “It’s incredibly gratifying to see the smile on people’s face when everything comes to fruition at the end of the process.”
As the president and CEO of Evident Title, Michael is a true problem solver at heart, so it’s no surprise that he also holds a computer engineering degree. Every transaction is different. Between Michael and his staff's knowledge, they are ready to tackle any obstacle that comes their way. They always use the latest technology to protect their clients’ interests. In addition to helming this thriving venture, Michael has served as president of the Cedar Grove Chamber of Commerce and VP of The West Essex Business Partnership. He’s also a member of a national underwriter's national advisory board. “One thing I’ve learned over the years is that in business, things are always changing. If you don’t stay current and adapt to the times, you’re dead in the water, because an idle mind in business just does not survive,” he says.
Michael holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland. He also holds a title producer license and notary certification.
