Nikko Shkreli is on a mission to fix what dating apps broke. As CEO and founder of Chivy, a premium dating app based in Westchester, New York, Nikko is championing a new era of digital matchmaking—one that blends old-school courtship with modern technology and real-world interaction. “Dating became a soulless, swiping experience full of bots, scammers, and catfish,” Nikko says. “I wanted to bring back meaningful connection—based on values, not just looks.”

With a background in real estate development and dual graduate degrees in psychology and business, Nikko leveraged his skills in operations and strategy to build Chivy from the ground up. Since launching, the company has gained momentum, landing a spot in the Element 46 startup accelerator, successfully raising capital, and debuting in the App Store.

Chivy is designed for straight, single professionals who value traditional relationship dynamics and seek long-term connections. What makes the app stand out is its deep commitment to safety and authenticity. As the first dating app to integrate CLEAR—used by TSA for identity verification—Chivy verifies every user through biometric scans and document checks, with the company covering the cost. AI moderation also helps foster respectful conversations and protect users from scams and bad actors.

“Partnering with CLEAR was really important to me,” Nikko adds. “Other apps are flooded with fake profiles, inflated user numbers, and very little verification. We’re creating something different—something honest.” Chivy’s safety-first approach is a major differentiator in a market dominated by quantity over quality.

Beyond safety, Chivy stands out for its hybrid model—pairing tech with tangible social experiences. The app uses a values-based system rooted in psychological research to align users on a deeper level, matching individuals based on lifestyle, goals, and core beliefs. When matches happen, Chivy’s Wingman feature prompts users to take real steps—encouraging men to ask women out with suggestions for great date spots. “We want people to get off the app and into real-life conversations,” says Nikko.

Chivy also hosts in-person events throughout New York City, offering members a rotating lineup of curated experiences—from upscale lounges to private rooftops. These gatherings create natural environments for interaction and remove the pressure of endless texting. “People want that face-to-face spark again,” Nikko says. “Our events give them that opportunity in fun, safe settings.”

Currently focused on the NYC tri-state area, Chivy has been flooded with requests from users in cities across the country. National expansion is part of the roadmap, as the team continues refining its AI-driven matchmaking, premium user experience, and strategic partnerships with venues and hospitality brands.

With clear traction, growing demand, and a mission to restore meaning to modern dating, Chivy is well on its way to becoming the new gold standard in relationship-focused apps. “People are ready for something real again,” Nikko says. “And we’re here to deliver it.”
