Rutger von Post
For 25 years, Rutger von Post has worked with clients across a range of industries to design, manage, and execute major organizational transformations—among them, leading the operational separation of a division of not one, but two of the largest insurance companies in the world. Since joining global management consulting firm Oliver Wyman in 2018, Rutger has received two Client Impact Awards. According to Rutger, “Seventy percent of transformations fail to deliver desired results.” As co-lead of Oliver Wyman’s Deal-Driven Transformation Center of Excellence and managing partner of the firm’s New York office, his goal “is to drive that number to zero for our clients.”
Oliver Wyman combines deep industry knowledge with specialized expertise in strategy, operations, risk management, and organizational transformation. Rutger brings a wealth of experience in these areas from previous roles as vice president and partner at PwC Strategy (formerly Booz & Company), partner at Booz & Company (acquired by PwC), and a consultant at Katzenbach Partners (acquired by Booz & Company). Having lived in Europe, Hong Kong, and Singapore, he also brings a unique global perspective and approach to counsel clients on significant, large-scale structural and organizational transformations. Specifically, after watching, observing, and learning about a company and its people, Rutger analyzes the influences that shape the patterns with an organization, and works to deliver a successful strategy that everyone can get excited about. “It’s immensely satisfying to provide counsel and support that helps leadership teams realize their company’s financial and strategic potential,” he shares.
