Sheirlene Kemp

With over 25 years of experience in retail sales and management, Sheirlene Kemp launched The Princess Theory to help make dreams come true. When she opened the virtual doors of The Princess Theory in 2020, many items sold out almost immediately—from purses to headbands, dresses to tiaras, sweatpants to hoodies and everything in between—as princesses from across the country scooped them up faster than she could stock their virtual shelves. It’s a Princess Movement that’s capturing the hearts of girls from coast to coast. “The name really speaks to however you define the word ‘princess,’” Sheirlene explains. “Whether an athlete princess, a tomboy princess, a fairy princess, or an academic princess, it’s a state of mind, and the idea is to empower young girls from every background to be whoever they want to be.”


Driven by a deep-rooted desire to spread happiness to aspiring princesses everywhere, The Princess Theory caters specifically to girls from ages three to 12, with a collection of quality apparel, specialty, and novelty items that are affordable and unique. Sheirlene puts her heart and soul into every detail with customer service always at the forefront. “I’m very particular about the vendors I choose because, for me, success is also the feeling of joy that people get from what I’m putting out,” she shares. “It’s incredibly motivating to hear from people I’ve never met that support our mission, and it’s really what keeps me going.”
