Terry Egley

A Journey Built on Resilience

Terry Egley’s path into the construction industry was anything but conventional. At just 23 years old—unemployed and nine months pregnant—she landed a remote administrative job with a general contractor.

Just three months after giving birth, Terry went from her remote position to one in the company’s office, with her infant daughter in tow. When her daughter was six and her son was 4, she made the difficult decision to leave an abusive marriage. She purchased a home for herself and her two children and began the process of rebuilding their lives, all while excelling in her role for the contractor. But another challenge was just around the corner.

After ten years with the company, Terry’s time there came to an end—but soon after, a well-deserved opportunity emerged. A former subcontractor recommended her to a small construction firm in need of a project manager. That opportunity marked the beginning of something transformative. Terry found herself working alongside a mentor whose passion for the field was contagious. Inspired and empowered, she discovered her own love for construction—an industry that would ultimately become her life’s work.

From One-Woman Operation to Industry Standout

Seven years later, Terry launched Integrity Construction Group, Inc. out of West River, Maryland. In its earliest days, she ran the company single-handedly—spending nights on job sites and days managing operations. One year in, she brought her daughter, Randi Barnett, on board. After 6 years, Randi earned the role of vice president. Today, Integrity has grown into a thriving, eight-person team with its own in-house drywall division and a reputation for excellence across hundreds of completed projects.

Specializing in commercial general contracting for tenant fit-outs, medical offices, industrial spaces, and restaurant buildouts, Integrity serves primarily small businesses. For Terry, the work goes far beyond construction. “I love helping people create their dream space,” she says. “We don’t just build for them—we support their business long after the project is done. We show up as patrons, not just contractors.”

Leading with Compassion and Integrity

Terry brings a rare, nurturing leadership style to a traditionally male-dominated industry. “Every project I take on, I put my heart and soul into it,” she explains. “It’s never just a transaction—it’s a relationship.” She takes a hands-on, team-oriented approach, helping clients with everything from budgeting to evaluating potential spaces. Her commitment to transparency and ethics defines the company culture. “Integrity means doing the right thing when no one’s watching. That’s how we operate—honestly and respectfully.”

Rooted in Community, Driven by Purpose

Terry’s passion doesn’t stop at the job site. She and her team actively give back, donating labor to the Salvation Army and offering free services to individuals in need. Under her leadership, the company has received several honors, including the Woman-Owned Business of the Year Award from the Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau’s Torch Award for Ethics.

A certified MBE/DBE woman-owned business and a graduate of both the AAEDC Inclusive Ventures Program and the SBA’s Emerging Leaders program, Terry continues to inspire with her unwavering dedication to quality, service, and humanity. For her, the real reward is standing beside a client at their ribbon cutting, knowing she helped turn their dream into reality.
