Tim Volk
Tim Volk hails from an entrepreneurial family—he is a unique professional with an exceptional network, great interpersonal skills, and a deep appreciation of the issues surrounding wealth. As an experienced business executive and seasoned board member, he has a strong financial background and deep expertise in wealth management, real estate, mortgage banking, and insurance.
Tim is the founder and principal of T.Volk & Company, a boutique advisory firm that specializes in assisting closely held businesses, family offices (single and multi-family), and family-controlled enterprises. Most recently, to share his valuable experience and to encourage the essential aspects of diversity and inclusion (a key to create flourishing families), he launched The Rainbow Bull podcast, which targets the LGBTQ community and their allies, and features guests, who together, share secrets learned from working with families with vast resources.
Following his family’s legacy, Tim is also founder and president of Teton Tack & Feed, a privately held, award-winning real estate development company focused on residential properties. Additionally, his role as CEO of Axiom Insurance Solutions, combined with his position as senior managing director at Axiom Financial Strategies Group, helped to establish and lead an independent insurance agency in creating their new registered advisory practice—all of which is designed to assist client families and their enterprises in successfully navigating the challenges of protecting their wealth and legacy while guiding their heirs into the future.
Over the past 25 years, Tim has held key leadership positions with not-for-profit boards focused on community service, education, health, and well-being. His mission and intent going forward to is to help families with significant resources to focus on philanthropic giving as an important tool to make the world a better place while also helping the family to stay connected and flourish. Tim believes families have the ability to impact the world by solving problems faster and more effectively than the government.
Tim holds the esteemed CFP designation as well as a master’s degree in business administration from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He also completed a bachelor’s degree in finance at Oregon State University. He and his husband reside in Chicago.
