As a young man fresh out of college, Troy embarked on a unique path. While studying for his architecture exam, he selflessly served as a firefighter. It was during these tumultuous days that his love for construction and architecture began to take shape. Driven by an insatiable passion for building, Troy started working on construction projects on the side.
Troy's dedication did not go unnoticed, and it wasn't long before he secured a groundbreaking deal with some Burger King franchises. This opportunity proved to be the catalyst for his career. With sheer determination and relentless effort, Troy decided to leave the fire department behind and focus wholeheartedly on DevCol Group, Inc.
At the core of Troy's philosophy is the belief that construction should never be separated from design. He views buildings as a form of art, and his commitment to merging artistry with construction is unwavering. We spoke with Troy to learn more about their unique approach to architecture and delve into some of their most significant projects.
Troy, what makes DevCol Group unique?
DevCol Group stands out through turnkey service, which eliminates the need for middlemen and third-party consultants. We handle everything in-house, which enables us to complete remodels in just 30 days. Furthermore, we provide both design and construction. While many competitors specialize in one area, we excel in both. This integrated approach allows us to deliver faster projects without compromising on quality. Another benefit that cannot be overstated is our established relationships with city council members.
Do you have a particularly favorite development that DevCol Group is working on?
We are collaborating with Rwanda to develop a residential community and bring employment opportunities to the area. Rwanda is preparing to house the largest international hub for traveler destinations in the Middle East and neighboring countries. In response, we aim to develop a housing subdivision that includes a school, which will both foster education and create jobs. As with all our projects, our goal is to build with sustainability in mind.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
The three things that I enjoy most are impressing our clients, the entire process of designing and building their properties, and seeing families get into their new homes.
