Albert appears in the Top 100
Innovators & Entrepreneurs Magazine
Albert Prewitt, the managing partner of FreeWater, has embarked on an extraordinary journey that has not only transformed his own life, but also promises to revolutionize the way corporations operate. In just his first two years at FreeWater, Albert has mastered his role, leading the charge in sales, logistics, operations, investor relations, recruiting, hiring, content creation, and marketing for this innovative startup based in Austin, Texas.
Albert's path to FreeWater began in his hometown of Lexington, Kentucky, where he had grown weary of the monotony of a nine-to-five job as a logistics broker. Seeking adventure and a chance to make a meaningful impact, Albert stumbled upon FreeWater through a TikTok video showcasing its founder, Josh Cliffords, distributing free water. Intrigued by the concept, Albert explored FreeWater's vision on their website and decided to reach out by sending them an email. Josh called him a few days later and shared the grand vision of the company. Having always been fascinated by startups, Albert decided to relocate to Austin and join FreeWater. It was a decision he would later describe as one of the best moves he ever made. Now, Albert relishes the diversity of his daily responsibilities and the opportunity to witness FreeWater's organic growth.
FreeWater’s business model is the printing of advertisements on aluminum bottles and paper cartons of natural spring water, making it free for consumers while donating ten cents per beverage to charity. Although they have been disrupting the beverage industry for just over two years, they have already garnered attention from major brands like NBC and partnerships with shows such as America Ninja Warrior and America’s Got Talent. They also recently closed a deal with Netflix and are poised for even more significant growth in the near future.
