HOW DID YOU GET MY NAME / WHAT IS THE SELECTION PROCESS?
Top 100 Magazine selections do not pay to win or to be considered for the magazine. Individuals appearing in four, two, full, or half page editorials, however, may have paid a fee for additional exposure. Top 100 selects candidates utilizing proprietary software, which employs an algorithm to search a variety of online resources for industry-specific terms and key words. These resources include social media, blog posts, peer reviews, and Google indices. Once the software has compiled a preliminary list of qualified candidates, our R&D department manually analyzes the results in order to make their final selections.
For those selections who are financial advisors or wealth managers, certain additional criteria must be met. They include: 1. Registered with the SEC as a registered investment adviser or a registered investment adviser representative; 2. Not more than 1 filed complaint and never been convicted of a felony. Those selected for the magazine may purchase additional profile ad space or promotional products. Their selection is not indicative of the wealth manager’s future performance or an endorsement by this publication. Working with a Top 100 Magazine advisor or wealth manager is no guarantee as to future investment success, nor is there any guarantee that the selected wealth managers will be awarded this accomplishment in the future.
We also receive nominations through our site and other channels, such as LinkedIn. We utilize the same criteria and research methods to thoroughly evaluate the proposed candidate before we determine if the nominee qualifies.
HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL SEE ME IN THE MAGAZINE?
Our member and subscriber base currently exceeds five hundred thousand individuals/enterprises, based on combined digital, print, and social media platforms. Recipients of the magazine include industry leaders, academic institutions, Fortune 500 companies, private and public businesses, and social media influencers, among others.
WILL I BE RANKED ON GOOGLE AND OTHER SEARCH ENGINES?
Yes. Search engines find and list social media posts and content from our website. Everyone who is published is announced on all of our social media platforms, which includes LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram. When possible, we tag you in the posts so that your followers can share and comment. This leads to more interaction, which generally improves your ranking.
Your online exposure can be further increased through premium services such as professionally written press releases, a personalized page on our website, or a customized social media campaign. Our efforts often result in a first page ranking, showing our endorsement of you as a leader in your industry.
CAN I CANCEL AFTER I'VE PAID?
While this is a very uncommon concern, we do allow for cancellations within three days of payment. Your payment to us constitutes a publishing contract and your space within the magazine is reserved immediately upon your agreement to be published. We also incur labor costs associated with your interview, creation of your biography, email correspondence, and other areas of service.
We will always do our best to accommodate your wishes and can offer many alternatives to cancellation after the three-day recision period. The most important thing is to contact us first (before your credit card issuer or bank).
DO YOU SHARE MY INFORMATION?
No. We don't sell or trade your information with anyone for any reason. When your contact information and biographical details appear on our site, which is available to the public, it is only for the purpose endorsing you as a leader in your field, increasing your online exposure, and improving your ranking on the search engines. You can opt out of publication on our site at any time by clicking here.
HOW DO I SUBMIT MY PHOTO / LOGO?
Your 'Welcome Email' contains all the contact info for submitting photos. You can also submit directly here. You can submit your photo in any of the following file formats: JPEG, TIFF, PSD, RAW, or PNG. The photo must be high resolution (300dpi). Logos can be submitted as: PSD, JPEG, PNG, or AI. WILL I GET TO SEE THE MAGAZINE BEFORE IT IS RELEASED?
Once the magazine has been produced, prior to anything being printed, you will receive a digital proof to review. There will be a one week period to advise us of any typographical errors.
It is of vital importance to finalize your bio and submit your photo/logo well in advance of the proofing period.
After the proofing period, the magazine is closed and considered "finalized." The newly revised digital version is then distributed to our subscriber network.
Immediately following the digital distribution, the magazines are printed and shipped.
WHAT IS INVOLVED WITH THE PUBLISHING PROCESS?
Step 1: We conduct a brief interview (typically 10-15 minutes) to collect information for the feature.
Step 2: We use the interview notes to craft a biography. We then send you the draft for review. You may request up to 2 revisions after we issue the initial bio draft. Be sure to review carefully and submit your changes in a timely fashion.
Step 3: We create your personalized page on our website and execute the social media campaign, which links to your page and bio. You are notified by email once this has been completed. You may view more info about social media announcements and the online profile page HERE.
Step 4: Once the magazine is filled, it goes into production. When production has been completed, you will have the opportunity to view your final page/spread as it will appear in the magazine. At this stage, the publication is closed to content revisions.
Step 5: The magazine is digitally distributed (as a PDF) to our entire network of subscribers (presently 500K+ and growing) and then printed.
Step 6: You receive your printed copy/copies of the magazine, along with any products included with your purchase, in the mail.
WILL I BE TAGGED IN SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGNS?
The best way to ensure your social media campaign receives maximum exposure is to follow our accounts/pages. You can find them in the site footer below and in all of our email communications.
While we will always attempt to locate you in order to tag you on our posts, security settings or alternative account names may prohibit us from doing this. Also, providing social media account details during your interview ensures that they will be published in the magazine but it does not guarantee you will be tagged. Play it safe....follow and like us!
