When Aleena Azam arrived in Canada from Dubai in 2017, she brought with her a story that thousands of immigrants can relate to—one marked by anxiety, misinformation, and a deep desire for a better life. What she didn’t know then was that her own difficult immigration experience would inspire a mission to change how people navigate the Canadian immigration system. Today, Aleena is the founder and CEO of AIS Immigration Consulting, a regulated Canadian immigration firm that does far more than file paperwork—it builds relationships that last a lifetime.

 

From Business Strategy to Immigration Advocacy

Before launching her consulting firm, Aleena built a rich, international career. After graduating with honors in business and finance, with additional studies in psychology and philosophy, she worked for a multinational media agency in Lahore. She later spent over a decade in Dubai managing business planning and strategy for major conglomerates, including involvement with large-scale projects for Universal Studios, Six Flags, and MBC Group. At just 27, she became an entrepreneur, founding a British early years preschool with a 200-child capacity.

 

After relocating to Canada and experiencing firsthand the devastating effects of immigration fraud—losing $5,000 and nearly three years of her life—Aleena decided to take matters into her own hands. She studied immigration law at Herzing College Toronto and became a licensed Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
