Amit Regmi

Amit Regmi is a researcher and applied technologist working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, computational engineering, and physics-based simulation. His work focuses on applying large language models, computational design, and simulation-driven optimization to automate complex mechanical workflows. Amit also founded Accelerated Komputing to push beyond traditional engineering paradigms and build autonomous agents capable of designing, validating, and ultimately manufacturing physical systems at scale.

 

Amit has conducted research at Carnegie Mellon University, where his work emphasizes scalable, industry-relevant solutions in computational mechanics and intelligent simulation. His research explores physics-informed machine learning, deep learning–assisted 3D/2D data understanding, and high-performance computing frameworks aimed at reducing design cycles and enabling automation in engineering workflows. These efforts are directed toward practical deployment in real-world mechanical and manufacturing systems.

 

Accelerated Komputing is pioneering the development of intelligent mechanical agents that autonomously design, evaluate, and optimize physical systems. By combining large language models (LLMs), programmatic CAD scripting, and surrogate-based CAE models, the company enables rapid exploration of complex design spaces that would traditionally require extensive manual engineering effort. These AI-driven agents continuously iterate, simulate, and refine mechanical designs, dramatically reducing development.

 

Amit holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. His sustained research activity and applied innovation demonstrate his capacity to advance technologies of substantial importance in areas including artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, and computational engineering.
