Like many, Catherine Fitzgerald knows well how fast life can fly by while you’re busy working to create your best life! So, after 35 years serving in various leadership roles, from insurance regional sales manager to bank VP and CEO, as well as executive director, in the non-profit sector, Catherine decided it was time for a change. She shifted her focus to building a business that fuels her life instead of consuming it, and today, she passionately coaches others to do the same. As the founder and executive coach of Brass Tacks With Heart, she works with heart-centered founders and executives of growing, mid-sized companies to flip their script so they can live their ideal life now, not someday. A solopreneur and certified coach since 2018, she’s a one-woman-show, whose sole focus is her clients.

An experienced senior executive, leader, speaker, writer, and board member, Catherine has overcome many challenging situations; economic recessions, financial turnarounds, complex funding structures, start-ups, multi-site management, and disengaged, disillusioned teams. Her approach is unflinching, direct, and humble. Grounded in knowledge acquired by successes and lessons learned, Catherine understands a leader’s desire to be free from the daily details so they can focus on scaling their business. By incorporating new communication techniques, Catherine’s clients discover they can empower and engage their teams to undertake problem-solving with next-level thinking that results in finding solutions that are not only good for their customer, but are financially sound for their company. She coaches for full-spectrum leadership, understanding quality attracts and retains quality, and healthy financial metrics support sustainability.

Her process begins and ends with the client’s values, curating a personalized strategy for change. “It is always a customized solution, based on their goals. We talk about creating an environment where they can trust their team to perform in the moments that count,” Catherine shares. “We look at their vision for their life, then I ask, ‘Is your business supporting that vision?’ because I believe once a person decides on their life’s vision, the business decisions fall in line.”

Catherine holds a B.A. from UCLA and is the proud mother of three grown sons. She is a member of the board of directors for Inspiration Travel Foundation and Fresno County Women’s Chamber of Commerce.
