Dr. Colette Mazzucelli

 

Dr. Colette Mazzucelli’s career is a testament to the power of education, diplomacy, and global collaboration. As an esteemed author and educator, she has dedicated her life to shaping international relations and fostering dialogue that transcends borders. With an academic journey that began at the University of Scranton, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in history and philosophy, magna cum laude, she went on to complete a Master of Arts in law and diplomacy at The Fletcher School, Tufts University, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy in government at Georgetown University. Never one to stop learning, she later earned a Master of Education in international education development and international humanitarian studies from Teachers College, Columbia University.

Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. Mazzucelli has amassed an impressive list of accolades. As a Robert Bosch Foundation Fellow, she assisted with the ratification of the Maastricht Treaty in the German foreign office, 1992-93. Featured in Marquis Who’s Who since 1993, she was named International Educator of the Year in 2003 and a Da Vinci Laureate in 2004. Dr. Mazzucelli has also been honored with a citation from the National Women’s Conference in 2006 and an Excellence in Teaching Award from New York University in 2013. A scholar of the highest caliber, she has held prestigious fellowships with institutions such as the Fulbright Program and the 21st Century Trust.  Her contributions have shaped international discourse on topics ranging from European integration to data ethics, as reflected in seven authored or edited books, including France and Germany at Maastricht and Personal Data Collection Risks in a Post-Vaccine World.

Dr. Mazzucelli’s impact extends far beyond academia. As the founder of LEAD IMPACT Reconciliation Institute Inc., she created a global platform dedicated to addressing critical issues through joint initiatives. LEAD IMPACT was born from a vision of uniting colleagues from different parts of the world who share a commitment to resolving pressing concerns, from maritime policy regulation to transnational migration. The Institute’s foundational principle is simple yet profound: meaningful change must begin at the local level and work its way up.

With a mission rooted in innovation and collaboration, LEAD IMPACT is transforming the way knowledge is shared and solutions are developed.
