Dr. Jones’s journey in public education, where she has spent 23 years teaching computer science and technology. She has taught in both K12 and post-secondary education. Determined to close the gender gap in technology, Dr. Jones founded the Dottie Rose Foundation, a nonprofit that has already impacted more than 6,000 girls and mobilized over 3,200 volunteers. The foundation offers hands-on programs in coding, AI, and digital literacy, preparing underrepresented students to step confidently into STEM fields. The results speak volumes: alumnae are pursuing degrees in computer science, entering technology careers, and helping reshape what it means to be a woman in tech.
