Glenn Kallgren's journey from humble beginnings to renowned strategic consultant is a compelling tale of resilience, innovation, and unwavering dedication. Born as the youngest among six siblings, Glenn's early years were marked by a fierce determination to carve out his own path despite the academic achievements of his older siblings. Recognizing that securing a full scholarship for college wasn't feasible, Glenn made the bold decision to enlist in the Army through ROTC, viewing it as a means to finance his education while serving his country.


During his eight years of active duty, Glenn not only honed his leadership skills, but also gained invaluable insights into organizational dynamics, discovering remarkable parallels between military structure and corporate operations. This formative experience instilled in him a disciplined work ethic, strategic mindset, and an unwavering commitment to excellence that would serve as cornerstones for his future endeavors.

 

Armed with an engineering degree from the University of Arizona and a wealth of military experience, Glenn embarked on a multifaceted career journey that spanned various industries and roles. His early foray into technical sales at GE provided him with a solid foundation in product expertise and customer engagement, laying the groundwork for his subsequent success.


As he transitioned to roles at Bostik and Guardian, Glenn's ingenuity and problem-solving skills were put to the test, particularly during his involvement in developing specialized coatings for Humvee glass. His contributions not only enhanced vehicle efficiency and safety for military personnel, but also demonstrated his capacity for innovation and strategic thinking.


However, it was at Soudal, and later Selena, where Glenn's leadership prowess truly shone. At Soudal, he spearheaded initiatives that propelled the company's growth trajectory, leveraging his expertise in market entry and strategic planning to drive expansion into new markets and sectors. His tenure at Selena, where he initially served as the sole representative in the US, marked a defining chapter in his career. Through visionary leadership and strategic foresight, Glenn revitalized the company's operations, implementing cutting-edge marketing strategies and forging key partnerships that resulted in their exponential revenue growth from $4 million to $27 million. His remarkable achievements at Selena culminated in his appointment as CEO, a testament to his exceptional leadership skills and business acumen. During his six-year tenure, Glenn focused on optimizing logistics using critical path methodology, further solidifying Selena's position as a market leader and paving the way for continued success.
