Kristopher J. "Kris Jim" Murdock

In the heart of Versailles, Missouri, Kristopher J. "Kris Jim" Murdock transforms lives through music. As founder, owner, and teacher at Revelation & Restoration (R&R), Kristopher brings over 23 years of teaching experience—including over 13 in music—into every lesson, performance, and outreach. His love for music began early, attending church choir practice with his parents, where his father directed and his mother sang. “I thought I was in the choir, too!” he recalls. That spark became a lifelong calling.

 

A cum laude graduate in music from Southeast Missouri State University, Kristopher has developed a loyal online following and built a growing academy—Revelation & Restoration Academy of Music & Drama. Its newest offering is Ultimate Music Superhero Training, an online class helping uncover unique musical gifts. Focused on beginners—with plans to expand into intermediate levels—the program welcomes parents and offers free group trial sessions.

 

Yet, Kristopher’s mission goes beyond melody. Deeply moved by the story of MaKennah Barron, who passed away from DIPG brain cancer at age 8, he dedicates songs in support of families battling childhood cancer. Through music and prayer, he honors her memory, raises awareness, and provides encouragement.

 

Whether teaching, composing, or helping students discover  “musical superpowers,” Kristopher’s aim remains the same: glorifying Jesus Christ and inspiring the next generation to pursue their gifts with heart and purpose.
