Robin Sims-Allen, the founder and CEO of Phoenix Marcus LLC, has built a career defined by versatility, resilience, and an unyielding commitment to women’s empowerment. With 22 years of experience as a tech professional and entrepreneur, Robin has consistently reinvented herself, pursuing multiple careers and industries to shape a company that reflects her diverse passions.

Robin launched her first company in 2007, laying the groundwork for what would become a multi-division enterprise. Drawing from a career spanning numerous industries, she built Phoenix Marcus LLC in 2021 with a vision that enables her to operate in multiple sectors rather than being confined to a single field. The company, a certified Minority and Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) is based in Winder, Georgia, and structured into three core divisions: beauty franchise partnerships, IT consulting, and application development.

Beauty Franchise Partnerships

​

One of the key areas of focus for Phoenix Marcus is beauty franchise partnerships. Currently, Robin is working to bring Sugaring NYC, a large hair removal franchise, to Winder. Identifying a gap in the local market, she saw an opportunity to introduce a service she personally values. Her strategy extends beyond hair removal—she is actively exploring opportunities to expand into other beauty services such as lash extensions, recognizing the demand and potential for these offerings within the community.

IT Consulting and Government Contracting

​

In addition to beauty franchises, Phoenix Marcus operates in the IT consulting space, leveraging Robin’s extensive background in technology. Having worked multiple roles in the tech industry, she recognized the potential in government contracting. Rather than remaining a subcontractor or employee, she established an IT consulting division within Phoenix Marcus to secure government contracts and build a team of professionals to fulfill them.

 

The government partnerships and proposals sector of Phoenix Marcus involves identifying contracting opportunities, managing statements of work inquiries, and collaborating with proposal writers to craft competitive bids. Robin’s ability to navigate this complex landscape allows Phoenix Marcus to secure and execute high-value contracts effectively.

Application Development: TotalHer

​

The third division of Phoenix Marcus is application development, with a primary focus on TotalHer, an upcoming digital platform set to launch in the summer. TotalHer is designed as a protected space “for women, by women,” addressing a gap in existing social media platforms where content created for women is often subject to unwanted attention.

​

TotalHer will provide a space for women professionals—ranging from fitness and finance experts to beauty consultants and attorneys—to share content without the distractions and inappropriate interactions often found on mainstream platforms. Robin is leading the development process, overseeing the selection of developers, defining business objectives, and spearheading fundraising efforts to ensure the platform’s success.

Overcoming a difficult and traumatic childhood, she has continually set ambitious goals and achieved them, even when starting from scratch.
