Todd Youse

For Todd Youse, recruiting has never been about simply filling positions. It has always been about people; understanding what makes organizations stronger, what keeps employees engaged, and how the right hire can shape the future of an entire company.

Todd is the CEO and founder of recruitLogix, LLC, and he has spent more than 16 years building a reputation as a trusted talent acquisition leader in the home infusion and specialty pharmacy space. His experience spans both agency recruiting and internal talent acquisition, giving him a rare perspective that allows him to see the hiring process from every angle. That well-rounded understanding has become the foundation of his success.

Based in Colorado Springs, recruitLogix just celebrated its 1-year anniversary and is on pace to reach $1 million by year’s end. While the firm began with a strong focus on home infusion and specialty pharmacy recruitment, it has quickly expanded into tech, mental and behavioral health, and high-tech nursing.

What separates recruitLogix from traditional staffing firms is Todd’s belief that recruiting should never be transactional. His goal is not to be seen as someone who simply fills roles, but as a strategic partner who helps companies strengthen their teams from the inside out.

That philosophy was shaped during his nearly five years with national infusion company, KabaFusion, where he built the talent acquisition team and helped support the company’s extraordinary growth from a $250 million business to an eventual $2.2 billion sale shortly after his departure. It was there that Todd and his team earned national recognition, including an ONCON Icon Top 50 Talent Acquisition Team award.

Individually, Todd has been recognized multiple times for excellence in talent acquisition, including ONCON Icon Awards honors in 2022 and 2023, as a Top 100 Talent Acquisition Professional, as well as finalist recognition in 2024. In 2025, after just 6 months in business, recruitLogix was named Best Healthcare Recruitment Firm in the USA.

Still, Todd measures success differently. “The thing that means the most to me isn’t awards, it’s my team,” he says. That mindset drives everything he does. He believes retention matters more than recruiting because when companies keep great people, everything else improves; productivity, culture, revenue, and long-term stability. His work often extends beyond recruitment into benefits analysis, compensation consulting, onboarding strategy, employee engagement, and retention planning.

Rather than asking clients only what position they need filled, Todd asks why the role is open in the first place. Is it growth? Is it turnover? Is there a deeper issue within the structure of the team? By identifying the real problem, he helps businesses create lasting solutions rather than temporary fixes.

Todd also stays involved well after placement. First -, thirty-, sixty-, and ninety-day check-ins allow him to catch issues early, ensuring both the client and candidate feel supported. It is a level of partnership that reflects his belief that successful recruiting is really about building companies, not just staffing them.

For Todd, leadership is equally personal. One of his proudest moments came when his very first employee, someone he trained over a decade ago, chose to return to work with him again. Hearing that he was “the only person she would ever go back to work for” meant more than any trophy ever could. That kind of loyalty is what Todd values most. He believes leadership is measured not by titles or awards, but by whether people trust you enough to follow you again.

At recruitLogix, that same principle continues to shape the business. Todd is building more than a recruitment firm; he is building a company rooted in partnership, trust, and long-term success. And in an industry often focused on speed, he is proving that lasting impact comes from doing things differently.

Q&A with Todd

Todd, what makes your approach to the recruiting business and to building teams unique?

Early in my career, recruiting was simple; I had a client, I needed to fill a role. But after going internal and being part of a company in hyper-growth, I started to understand what that role actually means to the business. It’s not just filling a seat. It impacts revenue, other departments, and the overall health of the company. I want clients to see me as more than a recruiter. I want to be a resource, someone who can help with processes, share insight, and ultimately make them a better company.

Your perspective on retention is another thing that sets you apart. Why is that so important?

Retention is actually more important to me than recruiting. If you keep your people, everything gets easier; costs go down, productivity stays up, and you’re not constantly backfilling.

At my previous company, we built everything around that idea. We created standardized interviews, onboarding systems, stay interviews, surveys, and check-ins so we could actually understand what employees needed to stay. Most of the time, retention comes down to small things; flexibility, support, role clarity, not always compensation. If you address those early, you don’t lose people. Most companies treat retention as an HR function. I’ve always looked at it as a recruiting function. The more people you keep, the fewer roles you have to fill.

The thing that means the most to me isn’t awards, it’s my team. When I left my previous company, my team was in tears. They didn’t want me to go. To me, that’s success. I always made it about the team. When we won awards, I had duplicate trophies made so every team member had one because it wasn’t just mine, it was theirs too. At the end of the day, that’s how I measure success. Not what I built, but that I did right by my people.
