Amelia R. Viera

 

Amelia R. Viera didn’t take a traditional path into digital marketing—and that’s exactly what makes her so effective. As director of operations at Surgeon’s Advisor, a digital marketing firm that helps medical practices grow their patient base, she draws from more than fifteen years of experience in journalism, marketing, and operations to lead with insight—and empathy.

Amelia started out as a reporter, writing for some of the largest newspapers in South Florida and eventually getting published internationally. That background gave her more than just strong writing skills. “When you interview businesses every day, you learn how to ask the right questions—and you learn what makes a story worth telling,” Amelia says. That skill has become a secret weapon in her current role: helping clients craft content that not only gets seen, but gets shared.

Today, Amelia is flexing that editorial muscle to guide clients through a fast-changing digital landscape, leaning into AI tools that power automation, predictive analytics, and content strategies tailored for impact. But, she’s quick to note that the tech is only part of the equation. “You can’t replace human understanding,” she says. “AI is powerful, but it needs direction.”

One of Amelia’s proudest achievements is the long-standing relationships she’s built with her clients. As she puts it, “The trust I’ve earned over time means more to me than any campaign metric.”
