Born in Nairobi, Kenya and shaped by experiences across Canada, the United States and Africa, he brings a unique perspective to the finance world. With a 22-year career in treasury, private equity, and alternative investments, Andrea is carving out a reputation for connecting capital to socially impactful endeavors.

As partner at Theodore Partners—a financial institution founded in Nairobi, Kenya—Andrea leverages his role to reintroduce frontier markets to North American investors from his base in Edmonton, Canada. His mission? To link the immense capital resources of advanced markets with the boundless opportunities and needs in frontier markets. “I’ve studied, lived and worked in both markets, I see the possibilities firsthand and can connect the dots,” he shares.

Andrea’s vision extends beyond corporate finance. A resolute advocate for philanthropy and governance, he serves on the board of Bringjoy Foundation, a U.S. nonprofit supporting communities near Kampala, Uganda. Here, he champions the importance of corporate-style governance in the nonprofit space, striving to increase donor confidence and ensure funds serve their intended purpose.
