Dr. Tara Akhavan is a visionary entrepreneur with a rare talent for turning cutting-edge technology into practical, life-changing solutions. With a PhD in computer science, a master’s in artificial intelligence, and over 15 years of experience in the tech innovation space, she has led multidisciplinary teams across Asia, Europe and North America. A true global leader, she currently serves as a board director for five organizations and brings firsthand insight to both startup acquisition and sale.

Tara’s journey began with the successful launch and exit of her first software startup, which was acquired by FORVIA—one of the world’s top automotive technology companies . At FORVIA, she established the company’s first software business unit and led it to a tenfold growth. Her work at FORVIA has been honored with three 2024 CES Innovation Awards and a few Automotive News PACE Awards.

Today, she is the CEO of AI4Eyes, a SaaS health tech startup revolutionizing eye care. Their AI-powered platform supports eye care professionals in detecting and managing ocular conditions with unmatched speed and accuracy, while increasing revenue by 30%. Tara’s experience and agility has enabled her to cover a wide range of leadership activities in startups, scale ups, M&A and big corporations.

In addition, Tara runs Tara Consulting Inc., not as a commercial venture, but as a channel to mentor, advise, and give back to the entrepreneurial community.
