A RATING

Laure Marchand
Laure Marchand has built her career at the intersection of strategy, technology, and human behavior, guiding businesses toward meaningful and sustainable growth. After that first impression, Laure’s story becomes even more compelling, one defined by precision, experimentation, and a deeply rooted commitment to empowering others, particularly women navigating the complexities of the digital economy.
Laure brings more than fifteen years of experience across travel, e-commerce, and online marketplaces into her role as founder and strategic product advisor of PropElle. Her work centers on helping entrepreneurs transform ideas into clear, executable plans to successfully launch their app or product with confidence. Rather than overwhelming clients with complexity, she focuses on what truly matters, identifying the right opportunities, prioritizing effectively, and building momentum through disciplined execution.
Throughout her career, Laure has led critical initiatives in search, personalization, and recommendation systems, consistently driving engagement and unlocking new revenue streams. She has helped organizations achieve profitability at scale by implementing automated pricing systems and subscription models that deliver measurable, year-over-year growth. Her ability to balance strategic vision with practical execution has made her a respected leader in product and AI within the Seattle tech community.
Before launching PropElle in 2026, Laure held key roles at companies such as Expedia, Nordstrom, and OfferUp, where she built and launched foundational platforms from the ground up. Her “0-to-1” execution capability, taking ideas from concept to fully realized products that users love, has become a defining strength. These experiences shaped her understanding that success in technology is not about chasing the biggest ideas, but about making the right decisions at the right time.
At the core of Laure’s philosophy is a belief in experimentation. She is known for helping founders break down ambitious visions into small, testable steps that accelerate learning. In her view, the speed at which a company learns is far more valuable than the size of its initial idea. This mindset has driven impactful results, including a recent example where a simple adjustment to a nonprofit’s product interface increased user engagement and completion rates by 50%.
Through PropElle, Laure applies this philosophy to support women entrepreneurs who feel stuck or uncertain about their next move. Based in the Greater Seattle area and operating globally, even in French, the company provides a structured yet flexible approach to growth, focusing on the right digital levers, refining monetization strategies, and eliminating unnecessary effort. The goal is not to do more, but to do what works.
Beyond her professional achievements, Laure is driven by a larger mission: to create a stronger, more connected community of women in tech. Having experienced firsthand the challenges of a male-dominated industry, she is passionate about building a trusted network where women can support, elevate, and advocate for one another. Her vision is not only to help individuals succeed, but to amplify collective voices and create lasting change within the industry.
With an MBA in international travel management and a career spanning both Europe and the United States, Laure brings a global perspective to her work. Whether advising startups or guiding established organizations, she remains focused on what drives real progress: understanding users deeply, acting decisively, and building momentum through continuous learning.
Q&A
What are your primary areas of specialization?
I specialize in digital product growth and strategy. That includes assessing business viability through user and market research, defining monetization strategies, and helping founders prioritize what truly matters. My focus is on getting to market quickly, learning from users, and building momentum through focused execution—this provides the critical information to ensure we’re building something that users actually need.
What makes your approach to product strategy different?
I break down big visions into small, actionable steps. A lot of people think success comes from bold ideas, but it actually comes from testing small things and learning quickly. The faster you learn, the faster you grow.
Can you share an example of that approach in action?
I worked with a nonprofit founder who had a feature designed to connect people through shared missions. It wasn’t performing well. We realized the community aspect was the core value, but it wasn’t visible enough. By simply restructuring the interface and making the chat more central, they increased completion rates by 50%.
What inspired you to launch PropElle?
I saw many entrepreneurs, especially women, feeling stuck because they didn’t know where to focus. I wanted to create something that helps them cut through the noise, prioritize effectively, and move forward with confidence.
How did your experience in large organizations shape your perspective?
It taught me how to think at scale and use data to make decisions. But it also showed me that smaller businesses have an advantage; they’re closer to their users. When they use that well, they can move faster and build stronger connections.
You’ve been recognized for innovation in AI and product development. What does that mean to you?
Recognition is great, but what matters most is impact. Technology is the best tool we have to influence people's lives. Let's hand it to the right people— women—to drive this impact.
Why are you passionate about supporting women in tech?
Because it’s still a male-dominated space, and that creates barriers. I want to help build a stronger network where women can support each other and have a bigger voice in shaping the future of the industry.
What does that community look like?
It’s a trusted circle where women can share experiences, challenges, and opportunities. It’s also about visibility and advocacy, and making sure allies are part of the conversation as well.
What advice do you give to entrepreneurs?
Focus on your users, not your solution. When you truly understand your users, you can solve the right problems, and that’s what drives growth.
What’s your long-term vision?
I want to continue helping entrepreneurs build smarter businesses while contributing to a more inclusive tech industry. When you combine strong strategy with diverse perspectives, you create solutions that truly matter.
