Milton C. Johns

Milton C. Johns has spent over 22 years in private practice and almost 35 years in government and defense contracting. Although he has held a variety of roles, his primary practice areas are business litigation, corporate law and formation, and government contracts. He also serves as counsel for government contracting companies and serves as an adjunct professor of business law at Northern Virginia Community College. On April 1, 2020, Milt launched his own practice: Executive Law Partners, PLLC, located in Fairfax, Virginia.

 

Executive Law Partners (XLP) is a full-service business and corporate law firm offering advisory, transactional, and litigation services to both emerging and midmarket companies in the United States and overseas. The firm’s practice areas focus on government contracts, corporate transactions and counsel, litigation, and international transactions.

 

Milt credits his team of attorneys with distinguishing XLP from other firms as they hold long-standing experience in each of their practice areas. The attorneys have also litigated in both state and federal courts, resulting in a national client base. “Our first-hand experience will help us to guide companies from formation and start up to success and growth,” says Milt.

 

In fact, Milt enjoyed a successful career working for defense contracting companies before he even enrolled in law school. Then, after graduating from George Mason University, he leveraged his prior experience in government contracting with his law degree to obtain a position with a small government contracting company as the director of operations and as general counsel. Due to years of personal experience, Milt genuinely understands the challenges facing business owners today.
